Laurent Vaillancourt

Laurent Vaillancourt conceived and initiated the project, and invited the other artists to collaborate.

His principal medium is steel cable - a material rarely used by itself - for it's curves, elegance and force of torsion, qualities he explores to create two and three dimensional artworks.

Laurent has exhibited in Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba and New Brunswick and is involved in numerous Franco-Ontarian arts organizations.

Paul Walty

Paul Walty conceived the multimedia component of the project, including the website and the distribution of e-postcards.

Paul's association within the Franco-Ontarian community is unique – an anglophone francophile. Visual artist, illustrator, graphic artist and web developer, he taught at the Collège des Beaux Arts de l'Ontario and was professor of multimedia at the Collège des Grands Lacs inToronto.

Massimo Agostinelli

Massimo Agostinelli choreographed the execution of the sculpture and selected music relevant to each location.

Massimo is a choreographer and teacher of Bouffon Theatre. His work is marked by an integration of Bouffon Theatre and Modern Danse. He teaches and explores new choreographical approaches, influenced by his unique style of Bouffon in Canada and abroad.

Anthony LeBaron

Anthony LeBaron provided technical support, designed and deployed the electronic postcards and developed the current website

Anthony is an artist and composer living in Toronto. He has exhibited in Toronto and Ottawa. He currently works as a Senior Interactive Designer in a Brand Consultancy firm.

Babek Aliassa

Babek Aliassa established funding for the project and travelled with Laurent as videographer.

Sphères is his second documentary. His first film, "Greffe" (2000) has been aired on TFO.

In 2001, Babek created Rostam films Inc. with the hope that it would become a key player in French Canada audio-visual production, mainly by providing opportunities for novel yet commercial projects by creative artists of the Ontario cinema and television community.

Alex Loukos

Alex Loukos ensured the completion of the editing and the post-production of the documentary.

After cinema studies, he furthered his experience in camera technique, film editing and graphics design. He has also written and directed 2 short films.

Alex arrived in Toronto in 2004 His energies are now directed towards contributing to the production of French-speaking projects for Canadian broadcasters.

Normand Renaud

Normand Renaud has worked for several years in the cultural, educational and community oriented environment of Sudbury, Ontario. A community radio commentator, his specialty is meeting people who live successful and challenging lives in this part of the country.

Since 2001, Normand has hosted the show "Au nord des sentiers battus" (North of the beaten path) on CBON. This radio magazine followed day-by-day the artistic performance of Laurent Vaillancourt during the World Tour in Ontario.

Antoine Tremblay Beaulieu

Antoine composed the score for the documentary, Sphères.

In 2000, Antoine distinguished himself in the semi-finals of the International Song Festival of Granby. In 2001, CBON and the Théâtre du Nouvel-Ontario supported his work. Antoine performs regularly in the Sudbury Francophone artistic community.

The soundtrack of "Sphères" is comprised of melodies from his first album, produced in 2002, entitled "Que la fête débute" (Let the show begin).
